Overview

How the Aging is Calculate?

Once an arrival date is assigned to an in-transit product, their aging will start running.

For exampleinstance, if the current date is January 28th and 28th but the arrival date of the product was previously set for January 25th (a date in the past), the aging will be 3age of that specific product would be three (3). 

If On the other hand, if the current date is February 1st and 1st and the arrival date is of a given product was set for February 5th 5th (a date in the future), the aging will be age of that specific product would be minus four (- 4).

Color Indicators

The system colors for the product lines, based on their aging. This is visible from the Inventory Summary>>inventory Summary>>Inventory in boxes screen.

How to

Set the

Arrival Date

• The arrival date can be set from the Staging Area. For more information read Setting the Arrival Date in the Staging Area.
• In multilocation companies,   the  the system allows setting a different arrival date per each location , (even if they are associated to with the same AWB).
• Remember authorized users can also set the arrival date from the  AWB Summary. For more information, please read the section  Establishing and Changing Arrival Date per Location  in Tracking AWBs.
• To set the arrival date of hard goods, go to Inventory>>Inventory Summary>>Hard goods inventory. Click on Receive Purchase Order (or click on edit for a given product line). You will be able to set the arrival date of the Purchase Order where the hard good belongs.

Aging for Inventory in Units and Hard Goods

Currently, the system does not allow to keep keeping track of the respective aging for the inventory in units. For hard goods inventoryInventory in Units is not permitted by the system. Although, the system allows does allow to visualize the arrival date for the hard goods inventory.  

Maximum Aging for Inventory Products

By default, the maximum aging of the products displayed in the inventory screen is 180. Products Therefore, products with greater aging will be hidden. This value can be changed from the products product setup screen. For further information about this option, read read How to Set Up a Max Age for Inventory Products.

Aging from sales screens

The aging is not always visible for salespeople, this could be hidden through the Inventory Options>>Hide Sensitive Data. Additional to this, there is a setting per user that allows restricting the visualization of the aging from the sales screens. The setting is named Hide Sensitive Data on Sales Screens. 

Automatic Sell Fast Option

There is a setting that allows to mark items with items with a lightning bolt icon, so the sales team will be is aware that those items need to be sold as soon as possible. For further information about this, please read read Enabling the Automatic Sell Fast Option.

Max Age for E-commerce Products

By default, the max. maximum age to display products in the eE-commerce, is 30, however. However, companies can set up a max-different maximum age restriction per product, category, customer, or even per company.
