This article explains how to set up the Max-Age for the E-commerce products. There are several options to configure this.

There are 4 ways to set up the Max-Age for the E-commerce (and a 5th by default) in the following order of precedence:


  1. Max Age per product: This option is called Local After and can be enabled going to Setup>>Products>>Edit.



  2. Max Age per Category:  This option is called Local After and can be enabled going to Setup>>Products and click on manage categories. Then click on Edit for a given category. The, enter the Max Age in the Local After field and click on Save.




  3. Max Age per customer: This option is available in Customer Account "Advanced" Setup. Go to Setup>Customers. Click on Edit and enter the number of days on the Max Age field, in the E-commerce Settings. Then click on Save.



  4. Max Age per Company: This setting is available in Configuring E-commerce Settings. Go to Setup>E-commerce Settings (in the case of multi-location Setup>>Locations tab and E-commerce settings).

    If none of the previous settings have been set up, the system will use by default a max age of 30 days for showing the products in the E-commerce availability.
