Tokens are an authentication mechanism that allows you to give access to the API methods only to certain customers that have the authorizationfor the company.

 

To setup a token, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Setup > Settings and click on the "Tokens" link.

 

 

     2.  If you want to create a new token click on the New Token green button locates on the right hand side of the window.

 

 

     3    3. Select which Token Type you want to add, Company or Customer.

The token type Customer will only have access to one method. This method for the customer is so they can have access to all the invoices information.

     4.  Input the information requested in order to complete the process:

  • Enter the token description, for example "managing inventory".
  • Select the API methods that you want to grant access to, in this case "inventory.add".
  • Click on the Generate button and the system will create a token composed by numbers and letters that you will have . If the token was created for Customer you need to send that token to your customer via email. 
  • Click on Save.

 

 

     4.  If you want to edit a token you can go under the "Actions" column click on "Edit". Save your changes once you are done.
