There are certain product categories which are not often used but due to the alphabetical arrangement, they will appear on top of the list when selecting products to create any kind of order.

A particular example is when you create categories for consumer bunch products (CB), these are not commonly sold but still they are part of your product portfolio.

Consumer bunch categories normally have the initials CB as a prefix on the category name, for example, Roses. This causes that the products under this category are displayed first on the product search (depending on the letters you typed) leaving the products We are going to work with roses, for example. You are looking for "Roses Bicolor" and you enter "ros". But all the Spray Roses products are displayed first, leaving the product that you are actually looking for on the bottom.

The system allows you to move the products of the categories that maybe you do not frequently use to the bottom of the list, in this case, the Spray Roses, this way you will be able to find your products easily. In order to set this option please follow the steps below:,  

  • Go to Setup > Products and click on the Manage Categories link.
  • Look for the category that you need to change and click on Edit.
  • Check the Display last on product search box and save.

Next time you look for a product and the product search matches the category you just changed, these products will be listed at the bottom of the list.
