Overview

Prebooks are normally created through three different screens: the most common is one is the "Add Prebook" screen and the other one is through Future Sales within your Komet Sales account or through the E-commerce portal. Komet also allows you to use an excel file to create Prebooks. You just have to fill in the information on the template and upload it in order to generate the Prebook.

Instructions

If you want to start using this feature, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Prebooks & SO's > Prebook Summary.

  2. Click on the Actions button and then click on  "Add Prebook from Excel File".

  3. The system will take you to the "Create Prebooks from Excel" screen. This screen will allow you to download the template where you will be able to type in the Prebook information. To download the template, click on the "here" link located above the dotted section of this page. Below the XLS Format titleOn the right side, you will see an explanation of all the information required within the instructions under the XLS fileFormat title

     

  4. For Multi-Location companies, there's the option to enter the Location Code. It will appear in the Excel sample.This code is to assign the Location to the prebook that will be created. 


  5. Once your template has the information to create the Prebook, save it in your computer the file and then drag it to the dotted section or click inside it within the dotted line to upload the file to the system.

  6. Once the file is successfully uploaded, the system will create the Prebook using the information on the file. Keep in mind that this process can take a few minutes to be complete. In case something is wrong with the file you uploaded, you will receive an email notification with the errors.



  7. For you to verify that the prebook was created, go to the Prebook Summary tab and use the filters to find the last Prebook created.
