Komet allows users to print Customer Shipping Labels for each order. |
These labels are used to identify which boxes have to be sent out to a specific customer.
Instructions
In order to print customer shipping labels, follow the steps below:
- Go to Shipping > Order Summary.
- Use the available filters to find the order that for which the labels will be printed for and select it , by checking the box to the left of the order number column.
- Find the "Actions" button and click on the "Print Labels" link.
The system will show a pop-up window called "Print Docs", two options will be available:
The "PDF" option to download the shipping labels as a PDF file; you will also have the option to select the printer previously set as the Remote Printer for printing, if applicable. (For details on remote printers settings refer to: Manage Remote Printers). To print, select the option and click the Print button.Info title Important The system allows to automatically print labels according to the printer selected by the carrier in the Manage Remote Printers setting. This option is called Autoremote Printing for Labels and must be enabled from Label Options1.
Select the order in which you wish the labels to be sorted by when when printing and click on Print.

The next following is an example of how the Customer Shipping Labels will look like. Notice that when a shipping label has already been printed, the system will mark the label with an R as the followingshown below:
Some of the labels will display the carrier account number under the carrier name when this has been set up.

All of the labels that are printed on for the boxes on the order have a lot # assigned when all items are added to an AWB. Users can also assign the lot # manually when the products are in inventory, by going to Inventory > Add Inventory. Refer to Add Inventory for more information. |

Currently, there are some companies that use Customized Shipping Labels. For example, the item code can be shown under the barcode as requested (see below). In case more information about this is required, please contact Komet Sales. |

You can print generic labels for your mass market customers. These labels have additional information which could be useful for them.
1) The product must have UPC information associated (please read UPC Management for further information). This information can be added from Prebooks & SO's>Add Prebook. 2) Follow the previous steps and print the labels. The Komet label will be printed followed by its corresponding Mass Market Label:

When an order is created, the user can add a mark code for each product line item so that it will print out on the labels (see below). Also, "Additional Label Notes" can be printed on a separate label to send special information to the customer. All of this is done in Order Entry > Add Order. Refer to Order Entry for more information. |

The system allows you to choose a criterion for sorting the Shipping Labels before you print them. for doing this, go to Label Options and set up the option "Sort Labels By". |
