To install essential updates for the printing component, complete the process described in this article. These updates are required for the printing component to keep the service working, and accounts using the previous version will no longer be able to print remotely by 6 pm EST Friday, January 20th.

Requirements
You need to do the following things before updating the Printing Component:
You must be running Java Runtime Environment version 11 (JRE) in your system. If you need to download it, you can do so from Oracle's website. It is not necessary to download the full SDK.
If you are updating to Java 11, set up the JAVA_HOME variable. Read this article to learn how to do it.
Have admin rights over the server or computer to allow the complete installation of software and to manage the system's services.
Download the new KometPrinter JAR file:

Update the Printing Component
To update the printing component, do the following instructions:
Open the existing KometPrinter-PRODUCTION folder in your C Drive.
Stop the service by running the stop.bat file as an administrator.
Replace the existing KometPrinter.jar file with the new one.
Restart the service by running the start.bat file as an administrator.
