Users will be able to give customers the option of placing an order from Future Inventory through the E-commerce portal.


Instructions

To place an E-commerce order from Future Inventory:

Follow the instructions in: Create an "E-Commerce" order.


Ui step

When selecting the ship date the system will display future inventory for that company.

Select the available ship date and product to buy.

After purchasing a product from Future Inventory the system will generate

a

a Prebook

order

 order. The

prebook

Prebook generated will not require approval from the Account Manager.

Ui step

The system shows a Your Cart button where the order can be reviewed. However, it's not possible to edit products already added. If the user wishes to edit any information the product will need to be removed from the shopping cart and added again.

Once done editing the order, click on

the Checkout

button

 button to submit it. The system will send an email with the

prebook

Prebook details to the person creating the order and to the Salesperson.

Users will be able to see all orders placed from the "Prebook Summary" tab.

Info

The price for Future Inventory products is the same

price

as the Standalone Purchase Order product's price. Therefore, if a product has a $0 price in the Purchase Order, the system will not display the product on E-Commerce.

The GPM

The GPM and Price-list information will not apply to

any prebooks

Prebooks generated from future inventory

orders placed on

inventory ordered in E-commerce.

 

From the Prebook Summary view, users will be able to generate a future report based on the existing prebooks.

By clicking on the Future Shipments Report button, the system will generate a PDF report.
