Overview
Prebooks are normally created through three different screens: the most common one is the "Add Prebook" screen and the other one is through Future Sales within your Komet Sales account or through the E-commerce portal. Komet also allows you to use an excel file to create Prebooks. You just have to fill in the information on the template and upload it in order to generate the Prebook.

Download, Prepare, and Upload the XLS File
If you want to start using this feature,
do the following instructions
:
Go to Prebooks &
SOs and select Prebook Summary.
Click
on Actions at the top of the list.
Select Add Prebook from Excel File
.
Click on the "here" link above the dotted line to download the template
For Multi-Location companies, there's the option to enter the Location Code. It will appear in the Excel sample.This code is to assign the Location to the prebook that will be created.

Follow the instructions on the right side of the page on what each column should have.
Once your template is completed, save the file and then drag it to the dotted section or click
on the dotted line to upload the file

When the file is successfully uploaded, the system will create the Prebook using the information on the XLS file.
Keep in mind that this process can take
minutes to
complete.
If the file
is not uploaded, you will receive an email
notifying you of the errors.
For Multi-Location companies:
You must enter the Location Code in the XLS File so the system can assign the Prebooks to the specific Location.
