Product aliases allow for products to appear with an Alias on the printed invoice and labels as requested by the customer rather than the full product description from the Master Product List.

Go to Setup > Settings > Order Entry > Order Entry Options 

Ui step

 Check Check the Enable Product Aliases and select the product alias behaviour. Select "will" if you want the system to remember the product alias as the users are entering these values. Select "will not"t if you don`t want the system to remember the product alias entered by the users when creating orders.

 Click on Save button.

Ui step

 Once the Product Aliases option is enabled the product alias will appear on the printed shipping labels and invoice.

Go to Setup > Products >> Product Aliases

 The Product Aliases data will appear. In this screen, new Product Aliases can be added by clicking on Add Product Alias button.

Existing Product Aliases can be edited by going to the actions column and clicking the Edit link. A pop up window will appear displaying the information that can be edited.

titleAdding a Product Alias from a Prebook

Product Aliases can be added from a Prebook.

Go to Prebooks & SO's > Add Prebook >>> Add Product Alias.

Once you click on the Add Product Alias link a pop up window will appear and you will be able to enter the product alias as per customer request.

The Product Alias will only be seen once the labels and the invoices are physically printed.

titleEdit Product Alias from the Order Entry

The system also allows salespeople to add product aliases from the Order Entry. To do so, just click on the Edit button from the Actions column when creating or editing an order. Enter the product alias and click on Add. Notice that for products in units, the system will display the Product Alias next to the product name (if the alias is added).
