You can create prebooks from three screens: Add Prebook, E-Commerce, or Create Prebooks from Excel. In this article, you will learn how to upload an XLS file that the system will use to create your Prebooks from the Create Prebooks from Excel screen.

Tip

Roles enabled to perform this action: Fulfillment, Admin, Sales Manager, Sales, Allocations, Procurement Manager.




Download, Prepare, and Upload the XLS File

If you want to start using this feature, please follow do the following instructions below:

  1. Go to Prebooks & SOs and select Prebook Summary.

  2. Click on Actions at the top of the list.

  3. Select Add Prebook from Excel File.

  4. Click on the "here" link above the dotted line to download the template.

  5. Follow the instructions on the right side of the page on what each column should have.  

  6. Once your template is completed, save the file and then drag it to the dotted section or click on the dotted line to upload the file.

  7. When the file is successfully uploaded, the system will create the Prebook using the information on the XLS file.

Keep in mind that this process can take minutes to complete. If the file is not uploaded, you will receive an email notifying you of the errors.

For Multi-Location companies:

You must enter the Location Code in the XLS File so the system can assign the Prebooks to the specific Location.

Tip

To verify the Prebooks were created, go to the Prebook Summary tab and verify the last Prebook created has the information you entered.
