How Does This Option Work?

  • Salespeople will only be allowed to select a Ship To from a list.

  • If a salesperson creates a Ship To, they must select the Use for this Order Only option.

  • It is not possible to add, edit, or delete Ship To’s from the Customer Setup.

  • E-commerce buyers can only select a Ship To from a list.

  • E-Commerce customers cannot add, edit, or delete Ship To’s.

Enable the Setting

  1. Go to Setup and select Settings.

  2. Click on Customer Settings from the Customers group of settings.

  3. Check the Manage ship to's from external system setting.

  4. Click on Save.

Adding Ship To's to Standing Orders

When Manage ship to's from external system is enabled, salespeople will only be allowed to select a Ship To from a list, and the options to add a new Ship To or edit an existing one will be disabled when adding Standing Orders.

Adding Ship To's to Prebooks

When Manage ship to's from external system is enabled, salespeople will only be allowed to select a Ship To from a list, and the options to add a new Ship To or edit an existing one will be disabled.

If the salesperson wants to create a Ship To for the Prebook, they must select the Use for this Order Only option.

Adding Ship To's to Orders

When the option Manage ship to's from external system has been enabled, salespeople will not be able to edit or delete ship to's. Users will only be able to select a Ship To from a preset list, and in case they want to add a different Ship To, the option Use for this Order only will be mandatory.

When the option Manage ship to's from external system has been enabled, users will not be able to add, delete or edit ship to's from customer accounts.
