  • Any changes for Prime and Armellini shipper accounts must be requested from Komet Sales.

  • The Multiple Locations setting will only be available after it is activated by Komet Sales. Once this setting is activated, it cannot be reversed.


Create a Location

Once the Multi-Location function is active in your account you will be able to add as many locations as you need. To add new locations, do the following instructions:

  1. Go to Setup and select Locations.

  2. Click on Add Location.

  3. Fill out the location information on each tab.

  4. Click Save.

Please note that Invoice numbers will always be unique for each location.

 The number of locations is determined by your Komet subscription. If you need more Locations, please contact Customer Support to add more Locations to your subscription.


Update a Location’s Information and Financial Settings

  1. Go to Setup and select Locations.

  2. Search the Location you are modifying.

  3. Click on Edit from the Actions column.

  4. Modify the information you want.

  5. Click on Save

You need to associate your carriers and customers to each location with the company users, who will only have access to that location. Once a customer is related to a location, the system will show the customers associated with that location within their customer account as the Main Location if this setting is enabled. For more information, read /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/3332457. Keep in mind that if the Main Location setting is not enabled, Komet Sales will only display customers associated with that location.


Associate Carriers and Customers to a Location

  1. Go to Setup and select Locations.

  2. Search the Location you want to modify.

  3. Select from the Actions column the type of account you want to associate to the Location:

    1. Customers

    2. Carriers

  4. Click on the legend in the Condition column to associate or dissociate the account from the Location.

When you associate a Carrier to a Location, you can also add the Cube Rate for the specific Location.


Associate a User to a Location

  1. Go to Setup and select Locations.

  2. Search the User you want to associate with the Location.

  3. Click on Customers from the Actions column.

  4. Check the box next to the User name to associate it with the Location.


Enable or Disable a Location

  1. Go to Setup and select Locations.

  2. Search the Location you are modifying.

  3. Click on Edit from the Actions column.

  4. Click on the checkbox next to Active in the Information tab.

  5. Click on Save.

It is not possible to disable a Company’s main Location. Be aware that once you deactivate a location, you can not create new orders or transactions for this location. Nonetheless, the information and historical data from this location remains saved on the system for availability in case of reactivation.

Maximum number of active locations

If your company reaches the maximum number of active locations, you cannot reactivate an inactive location. If you need more locations, please email support@kometsales.com to upgrade your subscription plan.
