To set up your integration with FedEx, you will need to provide 5 pieces of information: FedEx Account #, Meter Number, Key, Company Contact and Password. This article explains how can you obtain them from your FedEx account.

  • To complete the below-explained processes you must have a FedEx account. In case you do not have an account, please register your company in FedEx.
  • This is a one time process. Multilocation companies must enter their credentials for each location that will use this integration.

How to obtain your Password, Account Number and Company Contact

The password is your FedEx account password. The account number and Company Contact can be obtained by following the next instructions:

Go to https://www.fedex.com/, log in using your credentials.  


Ui step

Click on your name at the top right-hand corner of the screen and select My Profile.


Ui step

Click on Login & Contact Information.


Ui step

Copy your Contact name under Contact Information.

Click on the Account Management option at the left side of the screen.

Copy your account number and save it.




How to obtain the Meter Number and Authentication Key

 Go to the Developer Resource Center at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/developer.html.

Log in with the same credentials you use to access to FedEx. 


Ui step

 Click on the FedEx Web Services menu and select Move to Production.

 Read the steps to moving to production and click on Get Production Key.

 Complete the Application Profile information and click on Continue.

 Read the License Agreement, in you agree with it, click on I Accept.

 Fill out your company information (only the required fields) and click on Continue.

 The system will ask you whether you want to update your profile information with the data previously entered. Check/Uncheck the option and click on Continue.

A confirmation window will appear. Please make sure of record your Authentication Key and Meter Number for future reference.

Remember to replace your test credentials (Developer Test Key, Password, Account, and Meter Number) with your production credentials.

Also, remember to sign up for Web Services Alerts and Outage Notifications (http://emails.fedex.com).
