E-commerce Tags

In this article, you will learn about e-commerce tags, what they are, how to create them, and how to share them with your customers.

What are E-commerce Tags?

E-commerce tags are customizable labels that can be applied to any product in your inventory. You can think of them as custom categories that help you group products together. For your customers, these tags serve as filters to help them navigate your offerings, and you can also create and share deeplinks to specific tags.

Why Use Tags?

Categories and product attributes work well for users who already know exactly what they're looking for. But what about the things you want them to discover?

Tags let you group related products in ways your users might not expect—but will find helpful. They make it easier for shoppers to stumble upon items they didn’t even realize they needed.

How to deeplink to a tag

The deeplink to a single tag is https:/eshops.kometsales.com/[your_company_id]?tags=[tag_name].

The deeplink to several tags is https:/eshops.kometsales.com/[your_company_id]?tags=[tag1_name],[tag2_name],(...),[tagn_name].

How Customers See Tags

When customers open the e-commerce site, they will see any tags available for filtering in the left side filter section. Checking these will filter the product list, similar to other filters.

Ensure your tags are displayed

For a tag to be displayed, it must be active and associated with at least one product in the product list.
