Vendor Availability Staging Area-Mapping Products
Overview
The Staging Area is where you can manage Vendor Availability items pending to be confirmed.
Users can search using the filter, and determine which items are to be moved over to the Vendor Availability Inventory from here. If products are not confirmed, they will not appear on the Vendor Availability inventory when creating a prebook. Once the product is mapped, proceed to check the box and click on Confirm Products, once you do that, the product will be transferred to the Available Items.
Mapping Vendor Availability Items
The orange warning triangle on this screen means that the item has not been mapped with one of your product description set in your Komet Sales account. To map an item, within the "Product Mapping" field, search for the Komet Sales product description that matches the item described in the Vendor Product column. Mapping a product is only required the first time this product is uploaded. The system allows you to map a product as many times as you need it, provided that the product is not sold.
Setting Product Pack Default
The blue triangle on this screen means that product packs need to be set for the Vendor Availability items in order to complete the confirmation. Click on the blue warning triangle to open the Product Pack Default Information window, complete all fields required and click on "Save".
The following exceptions apply to the Vendor Availability Staging Area:
- If the vendor product description and the Komet Sales description are the same, no product mapping is required.
- If the vendor product description was previously mapped to the Komet Sales description, no product mapping is required.
- Auto confirmation from this screen for products previously mapped or with the same product description can be enabled by contacting Komet Sales, ifproductpack has been set.
- The setting of Product Pack Default information for Vendor Availability items can be deactivated by contacting Komet Sales.
Important
