Return Boxes

In this article you will learn how to return boxes that were invoiced and shipped to the final customer.

Roles enabled to perform this action: Scanner.

Information

  • The user must scan the box first and then modify the invoice in the system.

  • If the scanned box and the scanned Pick Ticket do not match, the following message will appear on the scan gun: "Lot number not in Pick Ticket."

  • If the scanned box does not belong to the Pick Ticket or there are no boxes shipped on that Pick Ticket, a “Box Not Found" message will be displayed on the scanner.

  • It is impossible to return the same box more than once; that's why the system will return a message when it has already been returned.

Return a Box with the Scanner

When returning boxes, ensure you are scanning the Customer Shipping Labels and do the following instructions:

  1. Login to the scan gun.

  2.  Select option number "6" (Return Boxes).

  3. Select the Ship Via.

    1. 1. Warehouse. For this option, you will need the Pick Ticket + Box ID.

    2. 2. Cross-Dock. For this option, you will need the Box ID.

  4. Scan the Pick Ticket barcode found on the customer's shipping label.

  5. If a rack was assigned to the box when it was received, the user may assign a new Rack to the box being returned.

  6. Scan the Box Code.

Once the boxes are scanned, these will be marked as RW (Received Warehouse).

If you return a box, it is not possible to add it to the same order again.
