Ui step

Go to Inventory > Pricing.


Ui step

 Search for the desired product.


Ui step

 Under the "Hold" column, type in the quantity to be placed on hold, and press ''Enter''.


Ui step

 The system will display a padlock next to the product's name to show the product's hold status.


Ui step

 To remove from hold (the padlock) and allow the sales team to see the items as available in the inventory, type 0 on the ''Hold'' field and press ''Enter''.

Information

When the number of products placed on hold is equal to the available items in a product line from the inventory items, staging area items and future inventory pages under the section, the system will display a black padlock indicating that salespeople will not see that product.

To Place Items on hold: Admin, Sales Manager, Inventory.

To sell items, even if they are on hold: Admin, Sales Manager.



Tip

To see which items are currently on hold, Go to the Inventory Summary, all items placed on hold will have a padlock next to their name.

How to Hold Items From the Future Inventory?

There is an option to configure whether or not the products should be put on hold automatically once they have been confirmed. For more information please refer to Setting and Creating Future Sales.

Go to Inventory > Pricing.

 Click on Future inventory.


Ui step

 Under the "Hold" column, type in the quantity to be placed on hold, and press ''Enter''.


Ui step

 The system will display a padlock next to the product's name to show the product's hold status.

If you click on the Mass Update button, you can hold or release all the items all at once.
