Komet Sales allows the user to open boxes from the Inventory Summary to convert them into units. |
This option is only available if the Sell by Units is activated.
Instructions
Follow these steps:
- Go to Inventory > Inventory Summary.
- Click on the "inventory in boxes" link.
- Click on the "Search" button to use the filters and find the boxes that are going to be opened.
- Under the Actions column, click on the "Open Boxes" option.
- The Confirm window will pop-up, fill in the information required. Click on the "Open Boxes" green button.

In this window, you are able to do the following: - Enable the options "Print Box Labels" and/or "Print UPC Labels", these will print once the boxes are opened. - Ability to change the unit type of the item that is being opened. - Based on the new unit type, the system will suggest a new price of the item and the GPM is updated automatically as well. |
6. Once you click on the Open Boxes button the "Print Labels" window will pop up, select the printer or PDF option according to your needs. Then Click on the "Print" green button.
7. Once the boxes have been opened, the product will appear in the "inventory in units" screen.

When the settings Prebook in units must be billed as boxes and Automatically Move Open Market boxes to Inventory in Units are disabled and the Automatic Billing is enabled for units , the system will open the boxes with units already presold once they are confirmed in the Staging Area. |
