If you receive a payment, and the amount is higher than the outstanding amount, the system will automatically retain this amount, and it will be taken as a credit on future invoices. When applying the payment, you will see an "Overpayment" notice with the total amount of the overpayment.

 

Instructions

How to create a prepayment credit?

  1. Select the Customer
  2. Enter the payment amount 
  3. Click on Save & New to continue.
  4. A confirmation window will appear, click on close to finishing. Notice the credit is saved as Prepayment.

Applying a Credit to an Invoice

:

If a customer has credits, they will be automatically displayed for the selected customer.

To use the credit, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on "Here" to apply the credit. Select the credit that you want to apply and closeClose. The system will automatically apply the amounts to the oldest invoice first, and on any subsequent invoices until the credit is fully used.

     2.  Click the "Save & Close" button located at the lower right corner to apply the payment.

     3. To receive additional payments click on the "Save & New" button.

     3. A confirmation window will open, click on Save to confirm the Overpayment.

    4. Once you have finished, a confirmation pop-up message will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen.
