In this article you will learn about the reports screen and how to export the different reports that Komet Sales offers.

User Roles: Sales, Sales Manager, Reports, and Procurement.

What are Reports?

Reports contain important business information that enables you to identify trends and make accurate business decisions. In Komet Sales, you will find three types of reports:

  • Classic. The original version with the same functionality.

  • New. The new Komet Analytics reports for procurement and sales. Our strongest analytics tool to date.

  • Legacy. Previous custom dashboards accessible and user-controlled but unsupported by Komet Sales.

What is Komet Analytics?

Komet Analytics is a powerful tool that can help your company make informed decisions, streamline operations, and stay ahead of the competition. By analyzing data, you can gain valuable insights that enable data-driven decision-making, improve operational efficiency, enhance customer understanding, and assess and mitigate risks. Additionally, Komet Analytics facilitates performance measurement, tracking, and resource allocation optimization. In short, analytics is an essential resource that can help you make the most of your data and achieve your business goals confidently and enthusiastically.

Classic

The classic Komet Reports you know and love. These include Vendor, Product, Salesperson, and Other reports you can export as Excel or PDF files.

To view and export classic reports, do the following instructions:

  1. Go to Reports and select Legacy.

  2. Select the type of report.

  3. Fill out the report parameters.

  4. Click on the report you want to export. The system will download a file with the report in the selected format.

New

The full Komet Analytics experience. From this tab, you will be able to harness the power of all your company’s information through several dashboards that enable you to make informed business decisions.

Sales managers and report users can access two types of reports in the New Tab, which are divided into sections:

  • Procurement.

    • Procurement Overview - Time Range.

    • Procurement Overview - Period-to-Date.

  • Sales.

    • Sales Overview - Time Range.

    • Sales Overview - Period-to-Date.

To view and export new reports, do the following instructions:

  1. Go to Reports and select New.

  2. Select the report you want to view. The system will open Komet Analytics in a new tab.

  3. Use the available filters to populate reports.

  4. Optional: If you see a graph where you need more information, hover over the chart and click on the expand icon.

Please note that the salesperson cannot access dashboards in the New Tab. You can control who can access reports by adjusting the user settings or giving them the sales manager or report roles. You can also grant access to specific users by enabling the Access to Reports setting from the Advanced Customer Account Setup .

Legacy

In Legacy, Salespersons will retain access to dashboards that existed before the migration to the new analytics engine.

To view and export legacy reports, do the following instructions:

  1. Go to Reports and select Legacy.

  2. Select the report you want to view.

We no longer provide support for legacy reports. If you have new or additional requirements for your reports, please contact us and ask for more information on our Komet Analytics alternatives.

 Can I export analytics reports?

Yes, you can export reports in multiple file formats. To export a report, hover over the report you want to export, click on the three vertical dots menu and select the file type by hovering on the export option.
