When customers have been invoiced for certain box numbers that need to be shipped out, the shipping scan process comes into play. There are two options available for the shipping process, namely, by Pick Ticket (option 1) or by Carrier (option 2). We recommend choosing the "Pick Ticket" option, as it helps optimize the workflow of the puller in the warehouse.

User Roles:  Scanner.

The scan by Pick Ticket option can be carried out by Lot number or by Box number. We strongly recommend you to scan by Box number since it will ensure you are shipping the correct box.

if for any reason, during the shipping process a label of an inventory box is scanned which does not match the shipping label, but it has the same lot #, the system will swap the positions of both boxes in order to avoid inventory issues. This works both for the two and three scans shipping modes.

The system will avoid that the same shipping label to be scanned more than once during the shipping process. If this is the case, the system will return a message informing that.

Shipping Scan by Box # (Three Scans)

This is the recommended option to be completely sure you are scanning the correct boxes and shipping the right product. You must scan in the next order: pick ticket, inventory box code, and shipping labels. The users in the warehouse have to scan the customer shipping labels to ship the boxes that correspond to the customer's order. You must contact Komet Sales to have this option activated.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Login into the scan gun.

  2. Select option #2 (Shipping).

  3. Select the Pick Ticket Option (number 1)

  4. Scan the pick ticket barcode

  5. Scan the Inventory Box Code

  6. Repeat the three-scans process with the next box. Once you have finished, the scan gun will report on the Counter how many boxes were Scanned and Completed based on the information provided from the scanned Pick Ticket.

Shipping Scan By Lot #

This is a faster way to proceed, but there is a high risk of shipping the wrong product. You must scan the pick ticket and the inventory box code.

To scan by Lot #, do the following instructions:

  1. Login to the Scan Gun.

  2. Select option #2 (Shipping)

  3. Select the Pick Ticket option #1

  4. Scan the pick ticket bar code.

  5. Scan the Inventory Box Code

  6. Repeat the three scans process with the next box. Once you have finished, the scan gun will report on the Counter how many boxes were Scan Completed based on the information provided from the scanned Pick Ticket.

Assign Pullers during the Shipping Process

The system allows assigning a Puller during the shipping process by pick ticket:
