What is an Aging Report?

An aging report or accounts receivable aging report is a record of unpaid invoices, accounts receivable, or unused credit memos that are organized by date. It helps businesses see which customers still owe money for their outstanding invoices.

There are two types of aging reports available in Komet Sales:

  • Aging. An aging report including every transaction from the selected period.

  • Aging by Salesperson. An aging report that includes information from a specific salesperson.

Create an Aging Report

To generate an aging report, do the following instructions:

  1. Click on Reports.

  2. Optional: Enter the Customer. If you leave this field blank, the report will include every customer on the report.

  3. Enter the Date Range and Salesperson.

  4. Select the type of aging report you want to export.

  5. Click on the PDF or Excel icon to download the report to your computer.

How to read an Aging Report

Each column in the report contains important information, here is the description of each column:

  • Customer. The customer’s name.

  • Open Credits. The balance due to the customer.

  • Terms. The payment terms of the customer.

  • Credit Limit. The total credit limit for the customer.

  • Current. Amount due for the current period.

  • 1-30. Amount due for the period 1-30.

  • 31-60. Amount due for the period 31-60.

  • 61-90. Amount due for the period 61-90.

  • 90. Amount due for the period >90.
