Overview

A master price list is useful when creating an order for a customer with no other price list associated

What is a Master Price List?

A Master Price list applies for the whole company. Once a price list is Marked as Master, the system will use it when creating an order for a customer with has Price B setup by default and has not price list associated for a given product. Please remember that only one price list can be marked as Master (even in Multilocation companies).

How to mark a price list as Master?

1) Go to Setup>>Price Lists.

2) Click on The New Price List green button.

3) The Add Price List window will open, enter the name, description, select All as the price list type and check the box Master Price List. Click on Save to finish.

4) Once saved, the price list will be marked with a green tag and will be visible from the Manage Price Lists screen. Notice that by clicking on the Actions column for this Price List, it will be possible to edit it or delete it.

Important

You can also mark as Master an existing price list provided that is not associated with any customer or location and its type is All.

Important: Master Price Lists in Multilocation Companies

It is not possible to mark as Master a Price List with a location associated. The next message will appear in this case (click on the image):
