Overview

Flowers can be bought from different countries or specific regions, as the diversity of flowers is possible thanks to the different soil conditions found worldwide.

 Adding regions of origin to the categories will help organize the procurement team by regions or help them identify where those products should be bought from.

Regions of origin per category

Adding new Regions of Origin or editing existing ones is simple by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Setup > Settings > Shipping and select the Regions of Origin option.
  2. Fill in the fields on top of the grid to add a new category, once done click on the green "Add" button.
  3. To edit or delete a particular region of origin go under the "Actions" column and click on the option desired.

To start tagging categories follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Setup > Products and click on the "Categories" link.
  2. Search for the category that regions of origin will be added to and then click on "Edit".

On the edition screen locate the "Region of Origin" field and start typing in the region that the category will be linked to. Hit the enter key and they will be displayed as tags on the product categories. Notice that new regions of origin can also de added from this screen.

To tag products with the regions of origin follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Setup > Products and search for the item that will be tagged.
  2. Edit the product that will be tagged.
  3. On the "Regions of Origin" field type in the regions where the item comes from.
  4. Save the changes.

Once it's all set any procurement user will be able to filter by region of origin on the Bulk Purchasing Mode in case they want to create their PO based on the origin of the items on the product needs.

Tags on products will have priority over tags on categories.
