Overview
This option allows users open boxes directly from the Scanner. When performing this action please consider the unit price option and other settings in Sell By Units Setting. The scanning process within Komet Sales will allow you to receive and ship your inventory and keep it under control. There are several operations you can do in the scanning process; Select an article from the list below for detailed information on each subject.
Instructions
Follow the next steps to open boxes.
1) Select the option 8 (eight) on the scan gun:
2) Start scanning the boxes to be opened (or enter the box code manually)
The above code corresponds to the product Calla Red which is in the inventory in boxes:
Boxes not opened
Sometimes the system does not open a box, this may be due to several reasons:
-Box not found: When the scanned code does not exist in the system.
-Box not in inventory: This message is displayed when the box is in the Staging Area.
-Box already sold: This message will appear when the box has been sold.
3) Once the box is scanned the counter displays 1 and you will be able to scan the next box. Once you finish, the scanned products will be in the inventory in units.
Please take into account:
Sometimes a product will change its name when is converted into units. For knowing how to find your product, please read Rollup Product When Coverting Boxes to Units.
Important
This option only works when the setting Sell by Units Only is enabled.
