Overview

Using price lists can be very helpful for many reasons, such as: overseas customers, price agreements with particular customers and so on. You can create as many price lists as you want and assign them to your customers, this way they will have adjusted prices based on the season, their location, etc.

Defult price list

The default price list is basically the list of products with a base price for each item, it doesn't take into account the customer or the season you're currently on. This will serve as a base for each of the price lists you create and the season you assign to them.

To create the default price list please do as follows:

  • If you don't have any price list created you can create a new one. To do so go to Setup > Price lists and click on theNew Price List green button.

  • Name it, add a description if needed, add a Inventory Type and check the "Default" option

  • Save the default price list.

Creating a price list for your customers

Now that you have set the default price list you can go ahead and create the price lists that you will link to your customers. The prices will be based on your default list, but you can decide if you want to increase or decrease the prices depending on a particular holiday, special arrangements with the customer, etc.

To create a new price list please follow these instructions:

  • Go to Setup > Price list and click on the New Price List green button.

  • On the "Add Price List" window, type in the name, description and select the type of inventory that you want these prices for. Once you are done, save it.

Right after the price list is saved you will be able to add the seasons for which the prices will be valid for.

  • On the same window click on the "+ New Season" green button.

  • Add a name and the range of dates that these prices will be valid for.

  • Select how you would like to add the prices to this season:

1 Copy products from the default price list and affect the prices by (x)%: This option will take the prices on the default list and affect them positively or negatively by the percentage amount entered.

2 Copy products from (x) list, season (x) and affect the prices by (x)%: Enabling this option will allow you to copy the prices from a different price list and season, and increase or decrease the prices based on a percentage amount.

3 Upload product prices from template: Using the template you can easily load the prices for a particular season, just drop the file on the outlined area and that's it!

4 Nothing, I want to add products prices to the list manually: Prices will be entered manually.

Once you save the season you will see all the price list information. Changes to a season can be made from this window, you just need to go under the "Actions" column and select the option you need: Edit, Delete, Export and Manage Products.

  • A single customer can have different price lists but keep in mind that the seasons must have different date ranges, and these cannot overlap.

  • Once you associate the price list to your customers the system will suggest the price on the screen depending on the type of inventory you selected: Prebook, Standing Orders, Order Entry and E-commerce.
