The scanning process within Komet Sales will allow you to receive and ship your inventory as well as keep it under control. There are several operations that can be done through the scanning process that will be described in this section.
Free Shipping — The Free Shipping process allows warehouse staff to scan boxes, using the Free Shipping option on the scanner, as a faster shipping option.
Open boxes from Scanner — This option allows users open boxes directly from the Scanner. When performing this action please consider the unit price option and other settings in Sell By Units Setting.
Print in Batches — Komet Sales allows users to create print batches so all customer shipping labels needed are printed at once and in the order they were scanned.
Pull Units from Box — The system allows to pull units from a box and assign them to an order using the scan gun. Keep in mind that the only unit type this process will work with is Bunches.
Scanner setup — This section explains the recommended hardware for the scanners as well as the SSH setup process.
Return Boxes — In this article you will learn how to return boxes that were invoiced and shipped to the final customer.
Shipping Scan Modes — When customers have been invoiced for certain box numbers that need to be shipped out, the shipping scan process comes into play. There are two options available for the shipping process, namely, by Pick Ticket (option 1) or by Carrier (option 2). We recommend choosing the "Pick Ticket" option, as it helps optimize the workflow of the puller in the warehouse.
