Overview

The scanning process within Komet Sales will allow you to receive and ship your inventory as well as keep it under control. There are several operations that can be done through the scanning process that will be described in this section.

  • Scanner Error Sound NotificationsIn this article you will learn about errors and sound notifications of the scanner gun.

  • Receiving ProcessThe receiving process allows users to scan boxes to mark them as received. 
  • Android SSH Update
  • Assign and update Rack Position to BoxesThe user can assign boxes to a specific rack position by scanning the label of the rack.
  • Free ShippingThe Free Shipping process allows warehouse staff to scan boxes, using the Free Shipping option on the scanner, as a faster shipping option.
  • Open boxes from ScannerThis option allows users open boxes directly from the Scanner. When performing this action please consider the unit price option and other settings in Sell By Units Setting.
  • Print in BatchesKomet Sales allows users to create print batches so all customer shipping labels needed are printed at once and in the order they were scanned.
  • Pull Units from BoxThe system allows to pull units from a box and assign them to an order using the scan gun. Keep in mind that the only unit type this process will work with is Bunches.

  • Return BoxesIn this article you will learn how to return boxes that were invoiced and shipped to the final customer.
  • Shipping Scan ModesWhen customers have been invoiced for certain box numbers that need to be shipped out, the shipping scan process comes into play. There are two options available for the shipping process, namely, by Pick Ticket (option 1) or by Carrier (option 2). We recommend choosing the "Pick Ticket" option, as it helps optimize the workflow of the puller in the warehouse.
