Komet Sales allows you to activate a countdown timer for the e-commerce so your buyers know how much time remains to complete the checkout process and at the same time ensures that the shopping cart cannot be abandoned. The default time buyers will have to complete their orders is 60 minutes or less, as the timer also considers shipping cut-offs of the vendors.
Important
Companies connected through K2K integration as Buyer Companies will have the e-commerce timer enabled by default.
This option applies to all inventory types, including open market, future inventory, K2K and Vendor Availability.
How does this option work?
Admins enable and set up a 60-minute e-commerce timer.
Admins decide whether the system should send email notifications to salespeople.
Buyers log in to the e-commerce site and the countdown starts as soon as they add the first product to their shopping cart.
If the maximum time is reached before the customer checks out the order, this will be canceled.
The customer will receive a notification on the screen and through their email as well. This informs that the order has been canceled, so they have to place it again.
Information
If the timer finishes before the order is checked out, the system will cancel the order or Prebook generated. In case the products come from the K2K Integration, all Prebooks and Purchase Orders created will be canceled as well.
