Overview

This functionality allows the transferring of product from the main location to another branch, for those companies that require a pass-through location. For more information on the Initial Setup for the Pass Through locations, please refer to Setup for Pass Through Location. 

Instructions:

  1. Go to Order Entry->Add Order.
  2. For the Location field, Enter the main Location you are transferring the products from, and for the Customer field selects the Location created for the company branch. Once the product has been added to the order click on Save.
  3. Once the order is Confirmed, it will be reflected in the "Order Summary" screen. To confirm the process was completed, a black checkmark icon within the actions column will be displayed, indicating the order was successfully transferred.


  4. Once the order has been confirmed, the products will go directly to the Staging Area of the Pass Through location. In this example, all of the products were transferred to the Belfair location.

    Landed Cost

    • Keep in mind that the price for the item within the invoice (without the freight) will be set as the cost for the receiving location. The inbound freight per unit will be calculated based on the location that ships the product and the location that receives it.


  5. Once the product is confirmed in the Staging Area of the Pass Through location, the boxes need to be scanned and shipped out to the end customer, in this case, the end customer is Riverside location.

Information

The aging of the product will remain the same after the transfer process based on the arrival date of the first location regardless of the date when it arrives at the final destination.
