Split Product Lines From the Staging Area
In this article you will learn how to split product lines from the Staging Area. When splitting a line, you can select the number of boxes in the new line and assign it to a new customer.
User Roles: Admin, Procurement User, Sales Manager, and Inventory.

Split Product Lines
To split a product line from the Staging Area, do the following instructions:
Go to Inventory and select Staging Area.
Search for the product you want to split.
Click on the dropdown menu in the Actions column and select the Split option.
Optional: Enable the Generate a new lot number. If this option is enabled, the system will display a pop-up for you to have the option to reprint the labels with the new lot number as needed.
Enter the Customer name or code, Quantity (see the available boxes), and Sales Price (if applicable).
Click on Split.
The system will split the product line into two separate lines and use the same information as the original line or a new lot number for the new line (if enabled).
Splitting a product line will reduce the original total quantity sold in the Prebook.
