FTD Integration

Komet Sales allows you to connect with FTD, so your inventory is automatically sent to FTD, and you can start receiving orders directly from their customers. If you want to have this option enabled, please contact us.

Roles enabled to perform this action: Admin, Setup (token generation process).

Orders created through the API are subject to a transaction fee based on the total order amount.

How does this Integration work?

Using some of the available API methods, you, as a Company that uses Komet Sales, will be able to synchronize your open market inventory with the FTD system. Once an order is placed in FTD with one of your products, an invoice will automatically be created in your Komet account.

  1. You have open market inventory available to be sold to your FTD customer.

  2. Your inventory will be synchronized and sent to the FTD system every 5 minutes.

  3. The final customer buys products from the FTD website.

  4. Once the final customer checks out the order, the system will create an invoice in your Komet account (Using the API methods web-order. create and web-order-item.add). Your sales rep proceeds to confirm the order.

The inventory synchronizes every 5 minutes on the FTD website, so it is possible that inventory that does not exist anymore in Komet still appears in FTD.

How do I set up the Integration?

You must set up this Integration in four steps:

  1. Create a Customer Token for FTD.

  2. Get the FTD Customer ID.

  3. Get your Company ID.

  4. Send all this information to FTD so they can finish the setup on their system.

In this article, you'll find detailed instructions for each step.
