Factor for Mixed Boxes
Overview
The factor allows the user to determine the minimum and maximum factor (capacity) of a particular box type, to avoid for the box to be filled beyond its' capacity or not full enough when the box is being built through E-commerce with assorted Vendor Availability product.
What is the Factor?
The Factor on Mixed Boxes is a number and can only be used in positive decimals. This option will only appear if the Vendor Availability is active in E-commerce.
How to set up the factor?
Important
The factor set up is mandatory to sell mixed boxes from Vendor Availability products through E-commerce.
1) Set up the factor while Adding Box Dimensions. This option will only be available if the VA is available for E-commerce and the Category of the Box Type is All.
2) The Factor also must also be set up per product since not all the products will fill the same space. There are basically three options to determine the Factor of a Product, in hierarchical order:
- Customer Product Packs: this is the first factor the system will search for when creating a mixed box on E-commerce. Click here for more information.
- Default Product Packs: if the factor for the Customer Product Pack has not been set up, the system allows to determinate this when creating default product packs. For further information click here.
- Factor per Product: the system will finally search for the factor per product, in case it has not been set up on the above two options. The factor per product can be entered when Add Products to Your Komet Account.
How does this work on E-commerce?
When adding mixed boxes, the system will verify if the percentage of the box filled, according to the Min. and Max. set up in step one and the factor per product.
None Factor Set up
If for any reason, the box type is changed and there is not factor set up for the product in that box type, the system will not allow adding that product to the mixed box and the product line will be highlighted in red. If this is the case, a message as the follows will appear at the top of the screen.
Information
The factor applies per each bunch regardless the total bunches within the pack or the unit type selected, since the E-commerce purchases are made in bunches.
